Itinerary
Day 0: Departure from Bangalore: Group meets at designated departure point in Bangalore (Majestic Bus Stand) at 9:00 PM.. Briefing session by trip leader.. Board AC Sleeper Bus for overnight journey to Wayanad.. Expect the journey to take approximately 8-9 hours.. Enjoy the journey with fellow travelers!
Day 1: Edakkal Caves & Kalpetta Exploration: Arrive in Kalpetta, Wayanad around 6:00 AM.. Check-in to your homestay/resort and freshen up. Breakfast will be served.. Post breakfast, drive to Edakkal Caves (approx. 1 hour).. Explore the prehistoric petroglyphs – be prepared for a moderate uphill trek!. Lunch at Udupi Vegetarian Restaurant in Kalpetta.. Evening at leisure – explore Kalpetta town or relax at your accommodation.. Dinner (self-paid)
Day 2: Waterfalls & Lakeside Serenity: After breakfast, proceed to Soochipara Falls (Sentinel Rock Waterfalls – approx. 1.5-hour drive).. Enjoy the scenic beauty and take a refreshing dip in the waterfall (subject to water levels and permissions).. Lunch at a local 'thattukada' for authentic Kerala cuisine.. Visit Pookode Lake in the afternoon – enjoy boating and capture stunning photographs.. Return to your accommodation for the night.
Day 3: Spice Plantation & Return Journey: Enjoy a final breakfast amidst the Wayanad hills.. Visit a spice plantation – learn about the cultivation of various spices and purchase some fresh produce.. Start your journey back to Bangalore around 12:00 PM.. En-route dinner stop (self-paid).. Arrive back in Bangalore late night.
