About This Trip
The Valley of Flowers Trek is an ethereal journey through one of India’s most vibrant high-altitude alpine valleys. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Himalayan gem explodes into a riot of colors every monsoon, with over 500 species of exotic flowers, lush meadows, waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks. Ideal for beginners, botanists, photographers, and nature lovers, this trek is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that immerses you in the magical Himalayan biosphere.
Itinerary
Day 1: Haridwar to Govindghat via Joshimath: Scenic 10–11 hour drive through Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag. Overnight stay in a hotel at Govindghat
Day 2: Govindghat to Ghangaria (9 km trek): Trek along the Pushpawati River. Reach the beautiful hamlet of Ghangaria. Check-in to hotel / guest house
Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers and back: Trek to the main valley and explore the floral paradise (~4 km one way). Spend 3–4 hours inside the valley soaking in nature. Return to Ghangaria for overnight stay
Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back: Challenging yet rewarding climb to Hemkund Sahib (6 km one way). Explore the crystal-clear lake, Gurudwara, and spiritual surroundings. Return to Ghangaria
Day 5: Trek Back to Govindghat, Drive to Joshimath: Descend 9 km to Govindghat. Drive to Joshimath and check-in for overnight stay
Day 6: Drive Back to Haridwar: Return journey with unforgettable memories. Trip ends by evening
