About This Trip
The Kedar Tal Trek is a beautiful and challenging high-altitude trek located in the Garhwal Himalayas. Known for its striking beauty and serene landscapes, this trek takes you to Kedar Tal – a glacial lake surrounded by snow-clad peaks, including Mt. Thalaiya Sagar and Mt. Bhrigupanth. Itinerary
Day 1: Haridwar to Uttarkashi (Drive): Morning drive from Haridwar to Uttarkashi , the gateway to the Kedar Tal Trek. Reach Uttarkashi by evening and check-in to the hotel. Rest and acclimatize. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 2: Uttarkashi to Gangotri (Drive): Morning drive to Gangotri (3-4 hours), visiting the Gangotri Temple. Explore the serene Gangotri surroundings. Evening trek to Bhairon Ghati for acclimatization. Overnight stay at Gangotri
Day 3: Gangotri to Bhoj Kharak (Trek – 9 km): Begin the trek to Bhoj Kharak , passing through dense forests and alpine meadows. Reach Bhoj Kharak and set up camp. Overnight stay in camps
Day 4: Bhoj Kharak to Kedar Tal (Trek – 10 km): Trek through rocky paths, crossing glaciers and streams, to reach the mesmerizing Kedar Tal. Enjoy stunning views of snow-covered peaks. Camp by the lakeside and enjoy the peaceful environment. Dinner and overnight stay at Kedar Tal
Day 5: Kedar Tal to Bhoj Kharak (Trek Down – 10 km): After a relaxing morning by the lake, start descending back to Bhoj Kharak. Reach Bhoj Kharak by afternoon and rest. Overnight stay in Bhoj Kharak
Day 6: Bhoj Kharak to Gangotri to Haridwar (Drive): Descend back to Gangotri , and then drive back to Haridwar. Arrive by evening, marking the end of the trek
